Varsity Hunt

After missing the Crepe City event last sunday because every train that went the route we needed wasn't running for whatever reason...I'm still on the hunt for the perfect varsity. No luck so far but maybe the Stussy sample sale this weekend could be the place to get it. Anyway online I've found a few new varsity jackets that i would definitely get...If I had the money.

Kid Cudi ft Kanye West- Erase Me

I literally just listened to half of this song about 1 minuet ago and I was confused to what I was listening to. I think busted just died and entered Kid Cudi's body. He sounded like he walked into the recording studio with some crapy producers and they all got totally pissed and recorded a shitty american rock song. I dont mind Kid Cudi and I had high hopes for the song especially with Kanye on the track but within a few seconds I wanted to kill my self with a diseased needle that was used a guitar pick in that song.

Drake.

To be honest in my opinion, Drake is kinda shit.

A lot of people will hate me when I say he sounds like a cat being slowly heated up in a microwave. But I don't want to fall into that Yeezy spider nest full of 'young rich boy wannabes'. Some say he can right a good tune, but I don't hear it. He just hasn't got that raw flow, that some new rappers obtain, i.e J.Cole, Wale and B.O.B

Rich boy rappers such as Big Sean only rap about Money, I know they cant really rap about much else considering they probably didn't grow up in the ghetto so they cant write lyrics about stolen cars and drive by's but guys rapping about how rich they are and all the bling they have just sounds like they have as much ego as Tom Cruise's head.

Banksy Strikes Again.

Not too long after airing his now famous opening credits to the Simpsons, he was back to London with 3 new pieces. Each of his latest pieces all link to pop-culture, Banksy makes references to; Keith Harrings Dog, Futurama Robot Bender and The Clashes album cover of London Calling.

ALIFE X STEVIE WILLIAMS EVERYBODY HI AMERICA

Alife didn't just have to go and do a collaboration with Stevie Williams, most defiantly in my top 5 list of skaters.

To be honest the colours are not actually that amazing and they could of chosen a different model of Alife to work with, but the little signature on the toe-box of the shoe just does it for me, it really completes the shoe. I think the shoe could of been made out of mustard tweed and I still would have bought them.

10 Deep mixer plaid

Both Gandhi and Jesus taught that violence is never the answer and both Jesus and Gandhi got their asses handed to them almost everyday. 10 Deep however, teach that we must "go hard or go home" and so you know the brand is a brand worth following. One thing i love about 10 Deep is the fact that they create clothing like no other street wear brand does and their Mixer Plaid shirts are a prime example. Mixer Plaid shirts are there own fashion statement and because of their brassy mix of fabrics you either love them or hate them. This season 10 Deep have brought out another Mixer Plaid shirt which features three different styles of plaid and a contrasting (if it can get an more contrasting) black front pocket to round it all off. If these shirts are your thing as they are mine, grab yourself this patchwork beauty from 10 Deep at your nearest 10 Deep retailer.

MF Doom O2 Academy

3 days, only 3 days and us British folk can watch the legendary MF Doom in London's O2 Academy! MF Doom's last concert in England was the first UK gig he has done for as long as I can remember and missing this upcoming event would be like a Muslim missing out on his first trip to Mecca, seriously, seeing someone like Doom in the UK live is the rarest of opportunities so DON'T miss out. For those of you not familiar with MF Doom he was originally part of the hip hop group KMD until his brother died after getting hit by a car, Doom had nothing but determination, he slept on park benches by night and attended open mic events by day but obscuring his face to avoid recognition. MF Doom created a whole new alias with a mask he created inspired by the mask worn by the masked villain Dr Doom and rose from nothing to one of the biggest and most unique rap artists to this day. MF Doom even got his own pair of dunk SB's made after him and his mask is highly sought after all over the internet. MF Doom is real, he speaks the truth when he raps and only speaks from experience taken from living on the streets and the life altering events he has gone through and his vocabulary is that of a wise yet raw man. Go to the O2 Academy on the 15th of October and see him! whether you know of him or not I can guarantee it will be a night to remember.

Puma making a come back?

Puma, according to Biz Markie, were the first "fly" sneakers. In the 1970's they reigned supreme within hi hop culture but also evoked their own culture with their iconic shape, durability, and at the time, incomparable color-ways. Puma have upheld their eminence within sneaker culture but have recently begun to fall into the shadow of high-end sneaker brands such as Bape and Louis Vuitton. However the Puma Urban Mobility Highlander, designed by Hussein Chalayan; a Turkish-born British fashion designer, may bring Puma right back up to the top. The sneaker is a clean white and cream leather with two Velcro straps, a ribbed heel collar and a powerful black sole which all together, gives it that blend of high end fashion and Puma's signature simplicity. The Puma Urban Mobility Highlander has definitely won me over with its futuristic touch of class and iconic puma shape. Only available at select Puma retail stores.

Banksy Simpsons intro

Banksy, apparently just got paid over one million dollars to make this intro for the Simpsons, yet it expresses the pain that is placed upon the third world countries and people in those third world countries that make the merchandising for the program. Not sure why Fox paid him for this project but still good to see Banksy tell it how it is like always.

Nike SB Dunk Mid “Realtree”

Nike SB, Another Dunk Mid with no strap. The Nike SB ''Realtree'' is a hunting themed shoe, using a animal hunter print through out the shoe, apart from the orange and black Swoosh and the orange and black sole.
Lately Nike's design team have been letting me down. My IPhone's notifications ring and ring with all the latest shoes. I sigh in disappointment with the lack of effort they have been putting into their shoes.

Jeremy Scott x adidas Originals by Originals 2011 Spring/Summer JS Wings “Clear”

Yet again, Jeremy Scott is in fact taking a trip to 'Dream Land' and acctually creating what ever he thinks up. Now this maybe a an experiment for him to litteraly create what he wants. But I personally would not ever even try these on. I think Jeremy really needs to head in a different direction.
If you do buy these, wear nice socks.

Jeremy Scott and Adidas...WTF

By now I'm sure a lot of you have seen Jeremy Scott's work with Adidas, he has begun to change Adidas' street wear into wearable pieces of art with the JS Wings, which became hugely popular amongst the likes of lil Wayne and Kanye West. But, has his new design, 'The Adidas Teddy Bears' pushed the boundaries too far? Obviously these sneakers will create mixed opinions and personally, they remind me of the toys that kid made on toy story when he took the dolls head of the doll and put it on that spider. For now we might as well congratulate Jeremy for continuously pushing the boundaries but whether this will affect his reputation the way he wants it to...I don't know.

WEREAL.

Well its the first ever blogg post, posted by Blue Laybourne....
I Try do things like by a nice camera to take pictures with to add to my portfolio. I try to save up to but illustrator to create my own designs.... until those bastard brands bring out a fresh season of new clothes. I just simply cant resist finding my own way to eventually purchase a fresh new outfit. So I guess clothes are the only way..... So me and the other side to 'WEREAL CLOTHING' started to draw up designs and the brand started.
